Blood Tribe Department of Health

“We Will Never Forget,” created for the Blood Tribe Department of Health’s Wellness Centre, symbolizes the spirit's journey to the spirit world of a missing and murdered Indigenous woman. With an eagle representing her soul's departure and wolves and a fancy dancer embodying her spirit, this powerful piece, along with another artwork titled “Transformational Healing,” honors the memory of MMIWG. Commissioned by the Wellness Centre, it marks Kalum's first painting for his home, the Blood Tribe, and draws deeply from his ancestry and personal experience with loss.
